#whenever i want to rage at michael for doing something asinine or stupid or childish #i remember this #and i remember that he does legitimately care about the people in the office #he cares a lot more than he thinks or sometimes wants to pass off #he can be selfish and REALLY fucking immature #and most of the time at commercial breaks i’m left saying ‘oh michael…’#but he came to pam’s art show and he cried at her and jim’s wedding #he can be creepy and selfobsessed and annoying #but i think he’s just always been very lonely and they’re the closest thing to a family that he has #so when pam hugs him you can just tell it really means a lot to him because he’s always trying to reach out to people#even if he’s not very good at it #and pam is finally reaching back
